Halt Mal Kurz! (hold this please!)
Halt mal kurz! is a project that uses objects to generate connections, reminding people what it is like to spontaneously encounter so-called "strangers" without fear. Can you hold this please?
4 performers manipulate 20 white cardboard blocks and 20 pink balls to create a scenography for a juggling performance that inspires friendliness and curiosity. Through their juggling, their movements and their play, the performers carefully involve the passers-by in the game of carrying, throwing, stacking and arranging the blocks, thus creating a scenography that relates directly to the surrounding space, imitates buildings and architectural elements, and allows them to be experienced in a new way.
Punctuated by short juggling choreographies, the stage space is repeatedly deconstructed and, with the help of the audience, rebuilt in a new place. Contact with the audience is friendly and deliberately direct, while people are given space and time to participate according to their own ideas. In this way, a playful rhythm of communication spreads through the public space., overcoming cultural and social boundaries, opening up new perspectives on the familiar, and challenging prejudices.
Can you help me with this please?
