TAKTiL
A sculpture and juggling performance about care and connection.
Forty white blocks, a stone, a performer, a wine glass, a piece of rope and 5 white balls. In TAKTiL the stage is encountered as a gallery where Benjamin and the audience create beautiful sculptures in a poetic and subtly humorous journey of images.
Through his sensitivity in object-manipulation, Benjamin makes the qualities of his non-human partners tangible. His playful presence leads to connection, and Benjamin gently invites people to cross the boundary between spectator and stage. The question of who is performing for who, becomes irrelevant as the audience members are given space to make their own aesthetic choices. A minimalistic soundtrack supports the game that delicately shifts between the aesthetic and the absurd, and the resulting encounter is touching in its honesty, moving in its beauty and funny.
